Backed by Science
We are often lured by the promise of the next fad or quick fix, only to be disappointed by the lack of results.
Many people move straight to the next fad in a perpetual vicious cycle, while health steadily declines. To break the cycle, you must follow the science.
Dr. Agnes’s passion for science and her commitment to improving health outcomes, combined with her personal and clinical experience, inspired the creation of the Bio-Alai® Health System.
Her goal was to help people escape the vicious cycle and take lasting control of their health.
In order to do that, she critically assessed the science and applied evidence-based medicine to address each process in the body that becomes disrupted with age, illness and a modern diet and lifestyle.
A Targeted Approach
Research shows that our modern diet and lifestyle are linked to many common chronic conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, autoimmune diseases and even cancer. Processed diets have a significant impact on our gut microbiome, immune system, metabolic function, hormonal balance and brain chemistry.
Dr Agnes used this understanding when developing The Bio-Alai Health System, ensuring that every process disrupted by modern life, is targeted with the nutrients in our formulation and the recommendations made in the personalised plans. This is why the Bio-Alai Health System is so effective in restoring balance and optimal health.
The Bio-Alai Health System offers a targeted, multi-system aproach.
Gut dysbiosis
The gut microbiome is central to human health. Dysbiosis is an imbalance of gut bacteria that leads to leaky gut and low-level chronic inflammation in the body. This is how it all begins and from here, inflammation ditrupts the key processes essential for health, such as blood sugar control, metabolism, hormones and the production of neurotransmitters. This is why dysbiosis has been linked to almost every common chronic conditions and symptom.
Chronic inflammation
A disordered immune response changes the function of every organ in the body. Allergic, autoimmune and metabolic diseases are all driven by an inflammatory process. Inflammation is responsible for many unexplained symptoms.
Mitochondrial dysfunction
Mitochondria are the cell's powerhouse, producing energy essential for cell function and repair. When mitochondrial function declines, so do energy levels, leading to fatigue and accelerated aging.
Epigenetic changes
The epigenome regulates gene expression. When disrupted it can activate genes responsible for illness and switch off longevity genes. Changes to the epigenome are linked to obesity and accelerated ageing.
Nutrient deficiencies
An insufficient supply of nutrients impairs all cellular processes, including energy production, neurotransmitter and hormone synthesis and tissue regeneration. Deficiencies are linked to fatigue, brain fog, skin conditions and weight gain.
Oxidative stress
Oxidative stress occurs when there is a build-up of free radicals, toxic molecules that damage cell components. Normally, our repair mechanisms neutralise free radicals however this declines with inflammation. Oxidative stress is linked to skin ageing, fatigue and weight gain.
Hormonal imbalances
Hormonal imbalances disrupt essential functions like metabolism, blood sugar control, fat-burning, appetite and all aspects of brain function. They also contribute to inflammation and its many consequences.
Neuroinflammation
Inflammation in the brain impairs all aspects of brain function including cognition, mood, sleep, appetite and the stress response. It also interferes with neuroplasticity, making it harder to establish healthy habits long-term.
Reprogramming your biology
Symptoms like stubborn fat, fatigue, hair loss and brain fog reflect the above internal disruptions.
These disruptions begin with alterations in the gut microbiome and epigenome which, in turn, influence gene expression and the function of all cells and organs in the body.
Research shows that nutrients play a key role in regulating the gut microbiome and epigenome. This means that optimal cell function can be restored and, while we may inherit certain genetic predispositions, we are not bound by them.
The Bio-Alai Health System delivers the right nutrients at the right doses to help reprogram your biological future.
Nutritional Science
The right dietary choices can help silence undesirable genes and activate beneficial ones. For example, we can switch on longevity genes and delay the ageing process through simple nutritional interventions.
As everyone has a different microbiome and epigenome, nutrition must be personalised. To restore balance, each process must be addressed simultaneously, in a way that is tailored to individual needs.
Our Bio-Alai® Personalised Nutrition Plans incorporate therapeutic foods alongside evidence-based dietary strategies that work with your unique physiology. These nutritional interventions gently and systematically address each of the key disruptions, ensuring they are safe and effective for your body.
Nutrient Science
My Alai Multisystem Support® is a nutrient-dense formulation with active ingredients that address the key physiological processes disrupted by modern life. It is classified under the category of a TGA-listed complementary medicine.
Unlike food-grade supplements, complementary medicines undergo strict regulatory assessments to ensure they meet standards set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
This designation confirms that My Alai Multisystem Support® contains clinically relevant doses of each active ingredient, aligned with scientific evidence to support the claims we make.
